SHORTS*
The shorts program is an eclectic mix of provocative filmmaking. Get ready to go to some wild places. Everything from dark comedy to lushly shot black and white narratives. Our selection this year is definitely not for children. One of the films,
Nosebleed, has a recognizable star (David Arquette) but most do not. Adrien Muys'
Iris tells the story of a very old crab picker. Filmmaker Jack Ferry,
Flirting Andrea Shnoonens, shows how flirting can go horribly wrong. Mikael Sodersten's
Debbi is truly in the category of political experimental filmmaking. Jake Mahaffy's super short,
Inertia, is a beguiling motion study. Jamie Travis'
Why the Anderson Children Didn't Come to Dinner proves that being naughty may just save these kids' lives. Finally there is the mystery and love story,
Everyone Who Has Ever Lived Here, told in diptychs and triptychs that will keep you guessing until the final frame.
